HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - A woman is hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver at a Broward County bus stop, WSVN reports.

46-year-old Toshanika Hutchins said the incident happened as she was waiting for a bus to go to work Sunday morning in the area of Northwest Second Avenue and Third Street in Hallandale Beach.

Hutchins said she was struck by a car and was left in the street, adding that the driver left the scene after stopping to pick up a broken mirror.  Hutchins, a single mother of six, was taken to Aventura Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.

Police are now trying to track down the driver involved, and said the vehicle they are looking for is a green two-door sedan.

Anyone with information regarding the crash was asked to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers.
