News: Fort Lauderdale man dies after being hit by vehicle in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, FL – Authorities have released details of a fatal pedestrian accident in Lauderhill earlier this month.

In a news release, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim of the April 16 crash as 65-year-old Aaron Adams of Fort Lauderdale.

Investigators determined that he was crossing in the 3400 block of West Broward Boulevard at about 9 p.m. when he entered the path of a Chevrolet Silverado. Adams was taken to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries on April 19.

Authorities said the driver of the Silverado, 34-year-old Brandon Drahman of Fort Lauderdale, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The sheriff’s office said Drahman had a solid green traffic signal at the time the crash occurred, adding that neither excessive speed nor driver impairment are considered factors in the incident.
