Though the majority of cruise-ship-related coronavirus has occurred in Asia, Caribbean nations have been vigilant in their screening of cruise passengers for the virus.

MiamiHerald.com reports that Jamaica and the Cayman Islands have refused to allow the MSC Meraviglia to dock on fears that it may e carrying passengers ill with coronavirus.

The warnings from Jamaica and the Cayman Islands comes on the heels of a U.S. State Department warning against U.S. citizens traveling to Asia.

Cruise company stocks are taking a beating as a result of the global coronavirus outbreak. Carnival is down 5% while Norwegian Cruise Line is down 7.5%, USA Today reports.
