MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL - State troopers and emergency crews were on the scene of a fiery crash in South Miami-Dade Tuesday afternoon that left two people dead.

According to WSVN, a recreational vehicle crashed and caught fire on the Florida Turnpike near Southwest 123rd Avenue at about 4 p.m.  The Florida Highway Patrol said the RV was towing a Jeep in the southbound lanes when the driver lost control.  The vehicle went off the road, hit a concrete barrier wall and burst into flames.

A man was thrown from the RV and was pronounced dead on the scene. A woman who was pulled from the vehicle died later at a hospital. Their identities were not released.

All southbound lanes of the Turnpike were closed for several hours while the scene was being cleared and firefighters extinguished the blaze.
