Serious Car Crash in Davie Leaves Infant and Elderly Woman Seriously Injured

A serious car crash in Davie has left two people seriously hurt.

Local10.com reports that a 9 month old infant and a 74 year old woman were but injured in the crash, which occurred in the vicinity of Flamingo Road at Southwest 26th Street at about noon. The collision was caused by an SUV turned in front of a Honda Civic being driven by Heriberto Garcia. Garcia swerved, lost control of his car, and struck another vehicle.

Local10 reports that the infant was not secured at the time of the crash, and was ejected from the vehicle. All off the occupants of the Civic were treated at Broward Health Medical Center The boy and the woman are expected to survive.

The passengers of the other vehicle involved in the crash were treated at the scene.
