Family Grieves Toddler Killed in Miami-Dade Hit-and-Run

A Miami-Dade family is grieving after a hit-and-run driver killed a two-year-old girl Friday.

WSVN.com reports that the crash occurred as the girl and her family were crossing near Northwest 10th Avenue and 116th Street. As the family crossed a vehicle struck them, leaving the child and her mother both injured in the street. The girl’s father was also injured and later appeared in the video grieving his child.

“The church, everybody’s crying about her. They are a good family, and their daughter is really smart. She played a lot; everybody loved them,” said the family’s pastor Jackson Janvier.

The family is asking that anyone who has information contact Crimestoppers at  305-471-TIPS.
