Two people were injured in a maritime crash in Lee County late last week.
ABC-7.com reports that the crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday when two vessels collided. The report indicates that one of the victims was aboard a personal watercraft while the other was aboard a 16-foot vessel when the collision occurred.
At least one of the injuries appears to have been serious as witnesses report that a medical evacuation helicopter was spotted in the area.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is investigating the incident.
