The search continues for a man who was last seen on a personal watercraft in Miami-Dade County.
Local10.com reports that 20-year-old Alexander Garcia and his friends were out on the water in an area close to a warehouse district near Northwest 25th Street, east of Northwest 127th Avenue, when he went missing.
Though the details of how Garcia went missing are not clear, rescuers were able to locate and rescue his girlfriend, who had been traveling with him when he disappeared.
Apparently, Garcia had a life jacket with him as he rode on the watercraft, and Local 10 reports that officials were able to local Garcia’s life vest.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is heading up the search, with assistance from the Miami-Dade Police Department.
