Royal Caribbean announced that it would cancel five sailings in 2021, leaving thousands of travelers scrambling to make alternate plans.
The company announced that it would cancel the sailings for the Liberty of the Seas cruise ship during the months of February and March 2021. CruiseFever.net reports that the company is allowing those who were booked for the sailings to exchange for a sailing out of Galveston. Those who take the deal will receive an onboard statement credit of $200-$400.
Those who do not agree to the change can opt for a full refund instead.
The company canceled the sailings in order to allow the ship to have an extended dry dock period and receive much-needed upgrades.
