The Norwegian Cruise Line ship that crashed into a pier earlier this week returned to port in Florida yesterday, capping a voyage that the ship’s passengers are likely to never forget.

The Norwegian Epic was originally on its way to the British Virgin Islands when it began to suffer from mechanical problems, prompting ship authorities to schedule a stop in Puerto Rico. While the ship was pulling into the Puerto Rican port it struck a pier, leaving a large gash in the ship.

As passengers disembarked from the ship in Florida they expressed their frustrations, saying that they had taken a “cruise to nowhere” and had never disembarked from the ship.

Norwegian says it will issue a credit to all passengers, good for a free future cruise. Many passengers expressed their disdain for the offer and complained that the company should do more.
