Nissan to Recall over 180,000 Vehicles Due to Roll Away Risk
Nissan is recalling more than 180,000 SUVs due to a defect that could allow the vehicles to roll away even while the transmission is in park.
CarAndDriver.com reports that the company filed documents with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicating that the defect affects model years 2020 through 2022.

Nissan says that the “dimensional variation during the manufacturing process” can cause a parking pawl to not engage properly, allowing the vehicles to roll away even when in park.
The report does not indicate if any crashes or injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
