DANIA BEACH, FL – A resident of a Dania Beach apartment complex crashed while trying to park her vehicle there on Friday.
According to WPLG, the woman was behind the wheel of a Kia SUV when the incident occurred at the Emerald Hills apartment complex at 4200 SW 53 Ct. The driver said she tried applying her brakes but was unable to stop, and the SUV slammed into a neighbor’s apartment.
No injuries were reported in the crash, but there was extensive damage on the first floor of the two-story building.
Deputies from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, along with engineers to evaluate the structural integrity of the building.
