News: Scooter rider killed in collision with car on State Road 7 in West Park
WEST PARK, FL – Authorities were at the scene of a collision in Broward County Thursday morning that killed a scooter rider, WPLG reports.
The incident took place in the area of State Road 7 and Miramar Parkway in West Park. The motor scooter was involved in a crash with a white Jaguar shortly before 4 a.m., according to investigators. The scooter rider, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office are conducting an investigation, and were reported to be speaking with the driver of the car.
State Road 7 was shut down in both directions near the scene for the crash investigation before reopening about six hours later.
