News: Motorcycle and pickup truck involved in fatal crash on U.S. 441
OKEECHOBEE, FL – A motorcycle and a pickup truck were involved in a fatal crash in Okeechobee Thursday morning, according to WPEC.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a 53-year-old motorcyclist was struck by a pickup truck on U.S. 441 near SE 34th Avenue. The accident happened after the motorcycle rider had stopped in the shoulder of the highway.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was a Brooksville resident. The pickup truck driver, a 33-year-old Okeechobee man, was not injured.
The FHP is continuing to investigate the accident.
