News: Man riding bicycle killed in Miami hit-and-run crash
MIAMI, FL – A man riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle in Miami early Monday morning, according to WPLG.
Police say the victim was hit while riding in the vicinity of Northwest 12th Avenue and Northwest 51st Street, in what was described as a hit-and-run incident.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. His name was not released, but he was reported to have been a man in his 40s.
So far no description is available of the vehicle that left the scene following the fatal collision. Northwest 12th Avenue was closed between 48th and 52nd Street for the police investigation.
