News: Man fatally struck by car while riding bicycle in Plantation
PLANTATION, FL – Police in Plantation are investigating an accident that claimed the life of a bicyclist Monday morning, reports NBC Miami.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Monel Rivera of Tamarac. According to police, Rivera was riding a bicycle on N. University Drive at about 4:30 a.m. when he was hit by a Toyota.
Rivera was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.
The driver of the Toyota, whose identity was not released, was not hurt.
