News: Bicyclist dead following collision with moving truck in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The West Palm Beach Police Department was at the scene of a fatal bicycle accident on Wednesday morning.

Police issued a Facebook post on the incident that occurred in the area of Australian Avenue and Banyan Boulevard.

Investigators said a bicyclist was killed in a collision with a moving truck at about 8:30 a.m. The victim’s name was not released.

Northbound lanes of Australian Avenue were shut down at Banyan Boulevard as part of the ongoing accident investigation.

Drivers were advised to take Tamarind Avenue or Sapodilla Avenue as alternate routes.
