MIAMI, FL – Three people died after their car was struck by a speeding vehicle in Miami-Dade County Tuesday morning, NBC Miami reports.

Police said one of the vehicles was a Range Rover, which an officer had tried to pull over on the Palmetto Expressway for speeding.

The driver took off at high speed and crashed into a Kia near the intersection of Sunset Drive and Southwest 92nd Avenue, according to investigators.

The Kia then slammed into a pole, killing the female driver and a male and female passenger.  All three were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not yet been released.
