News: 2 FHP troopers injured in collision with truck on Florida’s Turnpike

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – A collision on Florida’s Turnpike Tuesday afternoon left three people injured, including two Florida Highway Patrol troopers.

WPTV reports the troopers were conducting a traffic stop near mile marker 113 in Palm Beach Gardens when their patrol cars were struck by a northbound truck pulling a trailer with three vehicles on it.

The troopers and the truck driver were seriously injured and taken to Jupiter Medical Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.  A K-9 was also injured and was in stable condition at Anzer Animal Hospital.

The northbound lanes of the turnpike were shut down following the accident before reopening at about 6:30 p.m.
