MARTIN COUNTY, FL – One person was killed and another injured in a car accident in Martin County early Thursday morning.
WPEC reports the wreck took place on U.S. 1 near Southeast 171st Street north of Jupiter at about 2:30 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old driver lost control of an SUV while heading north on U.S. 1 and the vehicle flipped several times.
A 16-year-old passenger was thrown from the SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to Jupiter Medical Center, and listed in critical but stable condition.
