A scaffolding collapse at a construction site near Disney World left two workers dead early this morning.
CBS News reports that the accident occurred at approximately 4:00 am when the scaffolding “gave way just above the sixth floor.” A third worker was able to hold on and climb to safety.
Reports indicate that the accident happened at a $282 million hotel under construction by Marriott just outside the Disney property. The 16-story structure, known as JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort, is being developed by private investment group DCS Investment Holdings.
Investigators are currently unsure what caused the collapse.
