An Amtrak crash in Florida injured three people earlier this month.
According to TampaBay.com, the crash occurred on July 16 when an Amtrak train collided with a trailer that was stranded on the track. The crash resulted in three injuries.
The report indicates that the trailer failed to move despite multiple warnings. The train struck the trailer and the impact not only destroyed the trailer but disabled the train engine.
First responders evaluated 14 people who were aboard the train at the time of the crash and transported three of the victims to a hospital for treatment. The victims included two passengers and a crew member.
