Video Shows Driver Running Into Bicyclists In Fort Lauderdale

A video recording shows a driver striking bicyclists with his vehicle in Fort Lauderdale over the weekend.

Local10.com reports that the video, which was recorded on Saturday, shows the driver careening into a group of bicyclists who were riding in the vicinity of Oakland Park Boulevard and A1A.

Apparently, the driver did not remain at the scene as is required by Florida law. Police are searching for the driver and the vehicle involved in the crash. They believe that someone may have thrown breaks at the vehicle, potentially damaging it. It is not clear whether the alleged brick-throwing occurred before or after the driver struck the bicyclists.

The report does not indicate the number of victims or the severity of their injuries. It does state that one victim “was bleeding from his arms and legs” following the collision, but does not elaborate on his medical condition.
