Three Injured and Hospitalized Following Boating Crash in Sarasota

Three people were injured in a boating crash in Sarasota on Saturday.

WFLA.com reports that a group of six was traveling in a 22-foot boat at approximately 4:00 p.m. when the vessel struck a channel marker and sea wall near Flamingo Avenue.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) responded to the scene of the crash, along with the Sarasota County Fire/EMS and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. The crash resulted in three injuries, of different severities.

Authorities transported the victims to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment. There was no word on the victims’ conditions.

FWC is investigating the crash.
