At least one person was killed and another injured when a pickup truck ran over participants at a Fort Lauderdale area pride parade.
Local10.com reports that the white pickup truck appeared to be poised to take part in the parade on Wilton Drive, and was lined up with other floats. Suddenly, the truck accelerated, striking two of the participants.
First responders transported both of the victims to Broward Health Medical Center. One of the victims was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the victims’ identities. While police are not sure whether the collision was intentional, they have arrested the driver of the pickup.
