Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Crash Involving Flatbed Truck
A vehicle struck a pedestrian on the Florida Turnpike Monday, seriously injuring the victim.
Local10.com reports that a flatbed truck struck the victim on Monday afternoon in the vicinity of Bird Road near the Florida Turnpike.
Apparently, after the diver collided with the victim, the driver remained at the scene, as is required by Florida law.
The report suggests that the victim was being treated at the psychiatric unit of Kendall Regional Medical Center when the victim apparently left the facility, entered the highway, and the flatbed truck struck the victim.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
