A South Florida woman has died after she was struck by a vehicle over the weekend.
Local10.com reports that a 30-year-old driver was pulling out of the Villas at Pembroke Pines apartments at about 6:00 am Saturday morning. As the diver turned eastbound on Southwest 18th Street he collided with the victim, who was on foot at the time. The collision trapped the victim under the vehicle, a white 2018 Ford Mustang.
The driver reportedly stayed at the scene of the incident and called for help. First responders arrived, extricated the woman from beneath the vehicle, and transported her to Memorial Regional Hospital. She later died from her injuries.
Authorities have not indicated the victim’s name or age.
