News: Woman struck and killed by car while crossing street in Sunny Isles Beach
SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL – Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that took place Monday afternoon in Sunny Isles Beach.
According to WSVN, a woman was crossing the street in the vicinity of Collins Avenue and 159th Street at about 4:30 p.m. when she was hit by a car, suffering fatal injuries. Police said the driver involved remained at the scene.
The southbound lanes of Collins Avenue were closed for the investigation, causing traffic delays through the area. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
