News: Lanes blocked on Florida’s Turnpike following SW Miami-Dade accident
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A major crash disrupted traffic in Southwest Miami-Dade County on Thursday afternoon.
Total Traffic Miami tweeted that the incident occurred on the Florida’s Turnpike northbound near Coral Reef Drive sometime before 12:50 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol was on the scene along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, though there was no immediate word on what led to the incident or whether there were any injuries.
Multiple lanes were blocked along the turnpike and northbound traffic was backed up for about two miles. Drivers were advised to take Exit 13 or earlier to avoid the congestion.
