News: Hit-and-run driver kills pedestrian crossing street in NE Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A pedestrian died Monday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in northeast Miami-Dade County, authorities said.
According to NBC Miami, Miami-Dade Police said the victim was crossing the street in the area of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 114th Street at about 5:30 a.m. when he was hit by a dark colored Volkswagen.
The pedestrian, a male, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released. The driver left the scene without stopping to help and is now being sought by police.
A description of the vehicle involved in the crash was not immediately available.
