PARKLAND, FL - An alleged drunk driver has been charged in connection with a fatal rollover car accident in Broward County last April, Parkland Talk reports.

Authorities said 57-year-old John Serino of Parkland was behind the wheel of a Superfast Ferrari when he crashed in the area of West Sunrise Boulevard and the Sawgrass Expressway in Sunrise shortly after 5 a.m. April 24. The car went airborne and then through a fence before colliding with a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle, 54-year-old Victor Battaglia, was killed.

According to investigators, Serino was driving at an estimated 100 miles an hour when the wreck occurred and was suspected to have been using alcohol.

He is now facing several charges, including DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide.  The Broward Sheriff's Office said Serino was held without bond in the Broward Main Jail.
