PARKLAND, FL – An alleged drunk driver has been charged in connection with a fatal rollover car accident in Broward County last April, Parkland Talk reports.

Authorities said 57-year-old John Serino of Parkland was behind the wheel of a Superfast Ferrari when he crashed in the area of West Sunrise Boulevard and the Sawgrass Expressway in Sunrise shortly after 5 a.m. April 24. The car went airborne and then through a fence before colliding with a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle, 54-year-old Victor Battaglia, was killed.

According to investigators, Serino was driving at an estimated 100 miles an hour when the wreck occurred and was suspected to have been using alcohol.
