News: Crash in Hallandale Beach sends 6 people to hospital

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Police said a two-car crash in Hallandale Beach Friday morning left six people hospitalized, WPLG reports.

A Range Rover and a GMC collided at the intersection of Federal Highway and Hallandale Beach Boulevard at about 12:40 a.m., according to investigators.  One of the vehicles, the Range Rover, caught fire after the crash.  It was believed the GMC may have been a rideshare vehicle.

Three people were in each vehicle and all were transported to area hospitals, though no details were released on their conditions.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident, and have not yet determined whether speed was a contributing factor.
