News: Collision on Don Shula Expressway leaves 1 dead, 2 hospitalized
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A motor vehicle accident in Southwest Miami-Dade County last week left one person dead and two others hospitalized, WSVN reports.
The crash occurred Thursday on the Don Shula Expressway, where the driver of a BMW lost control near the Florida Turnpike at about 1 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the car collided with a pickup truck in the northbound lanes of the roadway. A person who was thrown from the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people sustained injuries that were not regarded as life-threatening, and were taken to Jackson South Medical Center.
