Yesterday we blogged that a boat caught fire in Dania Beach on Wednesday, leaving two people hospitalized. Now, news outlets are providing additional information about the incident.
Local10.com reports that there were two boats in the blaze. The two vessels were tied together during mechanical repairs, and apparently both caught fire during the process.
Though the cause of the fire is still unknown, neigbors reported having heard a loud boom, followed by fire and smoke.
Two people were harmed in the incident, including one who reportedly suffered severe burns. Both victims were hospitalized.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
