Miami Beach Official Investigating After Light Pole Falls on Truck
Officials in Miami Beach are looking into a dangerous accident in which a light pole fell onto a moving truck Wednesday.
Local10.com reports that the incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. when a truck was traveling along 14th St. between Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue. Surveillance video captured the pole falling and striking the truck on its hood.
Resident Jane Krupp told Local 10 “All the sudden, I hear a boom…I look out the window and there was a light pole on top of a truck.”
The driver of the truck was not harmed.
A spokesperson for Miami Beach says that authorities are not sure why the pole toppled over.
