Boscaccy lept into action and approached the burning vehicle in order to see if anyone was inside.
Inside the vehicle, Boscaccy found a woman, who he was able to extract after breaking the car’s window with a sledgehammer.
“The car was burning, and I just wanted to see if somebody was inside. There was somebody inside. She was trying to break the glass,” Boscaccy said.
After pulling the victim out of the car Boscaccy and another person attended to her until paramedics came and transported her to a hospital.
Though the woman’s condition was not disclosed, the report says that she is recovering.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
