Crash Involving Tractor Trailer and Box Truck Leaves Three Hospitalized

Three people have been hospitalized following a crash involving a semi-truck in Miami on Saturday.

WSVN.com reports that the crash occurred in Davie at about 5:00 a.m. when a passenger vehicle was involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer and a box truck. Florida Highway Patrol states that initially, the box truck struck the sedan. In the aftermath of that collision, the sedan began to drive into oncoming traffic, causing the 18 wheeler to swerve and flip on its side.

The dramatic incident left the tractor-trailer with its tail hanging over the edge of a bridge.

In all, the crash resulted in three people being hospitalized, including the driver of the sedan who was taken to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not identified the other two victims or given an update as to their conditions.
