Cadillac Recalls Over 30,000 Vehicles Due to Airbag Defect

Automaker Cadillac is recalling approximately 34,000 vehicles due to defective airbags.

AutoEvolution.com reports that the affected vehicles include CT4 and CT5 model years 2020 to 2022. The vehicles are being recalled because the side curtain airbags may have been installed incorrectly. The airbags may have been installed with a twist between two attachment points, which can cause them to deploy incorrectly or not deploy at all.

The recall affects vehicles including “MY2020 CT4, MY2021 CT4, MY2022 CT4, MY 2020 CT5, MY2021 CT5, and MY2022 CT5.”

The report did not indicate if any injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
