#Recall Alert: BMW is recalling certain diesel cars and SUVs from the 2013 to 2018 model years due to a cooler leak that could melt the intake manifold, and in rare cases result in a fire. https://t.co/l4lZwObJkU— Consumer Reports (@ConsumerReports) December 1, 2021
Consumer Reports says that defective EGRs may leak, leading to smoldering particles which may melt engine components and potentially cause a fire.
Among the approximately 50,400 affected vehicles are the 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series cars, and SUVs models X3 and X5.
