Two Women Killed and Several Injured in Wrong Way Crash in Naples, Florida

A wrong-way crash in Naples, Florida has left two women dead and several other people seriously injured. 

WinkNews.com reports that four women in a van were driving north on Livingston Road late Saturday evening when they were struck by a truck. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, as the women were approaching Golden Gate Parkway a truck, driving the wrong way, collided with the van head-on, resulting in a serious crash.

The collision left the two women in the front seat of the van dead, including the van’s 25-year-old driver and 26-year-old passenger. The van’s backseat passengers, a 24-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old woman, were seriously injured in the crash and were hospitalized for treatment. The driver of the van was also injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

WinkNews.com reports that officials believe that the truck driver was impaired at the time of the crash and will likely file charges against him.
