A teenage driver was killed on Tuesday night after the vehicle she was driving was struck from behind.

ClickOrlando.com reports that the 19-year-old woman driver was driving a Scion xB in the southbound lanes of Florida Turnpike near John Young Parkway when a 41-year-old man diving a Chevrolet Tahoe crashed into her vehicle from behind, pusing her car into a barrier wall.

Authorities believe that the Tahoe struck the xB without first slowing down.

The impact of the crash severely injured the woman driver, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The diver of the Tahoe was not injured.

The report indicates that charges are pending against the Tahoe driver.
