One person is dead and three others are in the hospital following a serious crash in Miami on Sunday.

WSVN.com reports that the crash occurred during the early Sunday morning hours near the 2500 block of Northwest 183rd Street. Officials believe that as a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed in the area the driver lost control and crashed into a tree.

A witness, identified as George W., said that he saw the crash. “The car was going eastbound doing like, 100, After it passed the light, it went airborne… When it went airborne, the driver lost control and ran into a tree and did like a ‘doughnut’ around and hit that way,” he said.

One of the passengers was killed in the crash while the driver, and two additional passengers, are currently being treated in a hospital for serious injuries. They are listed in critical condition.
