News: Sunrise police seeking public's help in tracking down hit-and-run driver

SUNRISE, FL - Police are seeking the public's help in finding the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Sunrise.

The Sunrise Police Department tweeted details of the incident that occurred Sept. 1 in the 8200 block of Sunset Strip at about 3:50 p.m.

Investigators said a driver left the scene after hitting an elderly pedestrian.  The pedestrian is reportedly in stable condition.

Police described the vehicle involved as a dark gray, possibly 2021-2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The driver was last seen heading east on Sunrise Boulevard towards State Road 7.

Anyone with information on the crash was asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers. A reward of up to $5,000 was offered for information leading to the arrest of the driver.
