MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL - Police are looking for a driver who left the scene following a fatal crash in Northwest Miami-Dade County early Monday morning, according to WSVN.

According to investigators, seven people were riding in a Toyota Sienna minivan in the area of Northwest 119th Street and 22nd Avenue at about 12:35 a.m. when the vehicle was struck from behind by a Dodge Charger.

A 23-year-old man riding in the back of the Toyota was pronounced dead after being transported to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The six other people were hospitalized in stable condition.

Detectives said the other driver fled the scene on foot without stopping to check or render aid to those in the minivan.

Northwest 119th Street was closed in both directions while authorities were investigating the crash.  Anyone with information about what happened was asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
