VERO BEACH, FL - One person was killed and three others injured when their sport utility vehicle crashed in Vero Beach Thursday morning, state troopers said.
WPEC reports a 48-year-old man was driving the SUV west on State Road 60 when the accident occurred near Blue Cypress Lake Road at about 10 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the man lost control of the vehicle after driving onto a shoulder and overcorrecting. The SUV went across the westbound lanes and overturned before coming to a stop.
A 21-year-old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle died in the crash. The driver and the other two passengers, a 55-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries. Everyone in the vehicle was a Sebastian resident.
