News: Stolen SUV slams into car in NW Miami-Dade, injuring 5

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Five people were hospitalized after a a car and a stolen SUV collided in northwest Miami-Dade County on Saturday, police said.

According to WPLG, a Subaru SUV that was reported as stolen crashed into a BMW in the area of Northwest 66th Street and 22nd Avenue at about 2 p.m.  Investigators said the driver of the Subaru was going at a high rate of speed at the time and T-boned the other vehicle at the intersection.

A 36-year-old woman was driving the BMW with her three children inside, ages 11, 10 and 6. They were all taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where the mother and two of the children were listed in stable condition while the 6-year-old was in critical but stable condition.  The driver of the Subaru was taken to the same hospital in stable condition.

Witnesses said two people exited the Subaru and fled the scene after the crash.
