News: Driver dead, passenger injured after car crashes into pole in Miami
MIAMI, FL – Miami police responded to the scene of a fatal car accident early Friday morning, WPLG reports.
Police said a male driver crashed into a pole on Northeast 82nd Street in the Little River neighborhood at about 1:15 a.m., causing the vehicle to catch fire. The man was pronounced dead at the scene while a female passenger was transported to Ryder Trauma Center with undisclosed injuries.
A witness said the car involved was a Lamborghini that was traveling at high speed.
Police are investigating the wreck, which shut down Northeast 82nd Street between First and Second Avenues.
