News: Coral Springs police officer injured after cruiser struck during burglary investigation

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – A police officer was injured after their cruiser was hit by another vehicle in Coral Springs early Tuesday morning.

WSVN reports it happened during a search for burglary suspects in the area of 41st Street and Coral Ridge Drive at about 3:30 a.m.

Police said a car with juveniles inside hit the police cruiser while trying to leave the scene.  Three people exited the car but were subsequently arrested on charges that included burglary and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.

The police officer was treated and released from an area hospital.
