MIAMI, FL - The two bicyclists who were struck and killed by a vehicle in Miami Sunday afternoon have been identified, WSVN reports.

This is an update to a previous story.

The victims were 49-year-old Yaudys Vera and 46-year-old Ogniana Reyes.  They were riding in the eastbound lanes of the Rickenbacker Causeway near the William Powell Bridge at about 4 p.m. when they were struck by a Jeep SUV.  The bicyclists were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Relatives said the two were struck as they rode back to their car following a trip to the beach.

The SUV driver was detained for questioning and was given several citations at the crash scene.  The incident remains under investigation.

A bicycle ride in honor of the two victims was scheduled for Wednesday evening at 6 p.m.
