The South Florida driver of a minibus, which was involved in a fatal crash this week, has been cited by police.
Local10.com reports that 54 year old Rolando Prestan was cited for improper passing by Miami Beach police. Prestan was involved in a collision with 33-year-old Angela Daniela Polanco on Thursday as she rode a scooter along Alton Road near 16th Street.
Witnesses say that immediately following the crash Polanco was rushed to a local medical facility, where she was later pronounced dead.
Polanco’s mother told Local10.com that she plans to take legal action against the driver.
